Twinkle & Lights Holiday Decorating Contest

The Public Arts and Culture Council is sponsoring the 6th annual Twinkle and Lights Holiday Decorating contest.  A panel of judges has selected 1st, 2nd, 3rd Place Winners.  All nominations that are not in the top three were entered to win the People's Choice Award voted on Facebook on December 20th. And the winners are....

Contest Rules

• Nominations will be accepted between November 14 and December 15 by 3:00 p.m.
• Official judges will determine 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.  All other nominees will be entered to win the Facebook People’s Choice Award on 12/20/22
• Entries will be judged on attractiveness, creativity and scale.  An entry can win only one award.  Entries will be judged from the curb; judges will not enter private property.
• Participation is free and open to all Niles residents. All decorating must be done by the resident living in the home, not a professional decorator/designer.  Businesses are not eligible.  Decorations must comply with Village of Niles ordinances and housing codes including loud noise violations. All homeowners should be respectful of their neighbors when participating in this contest.
• The decisions of the judging committee are final.  Judges and Arts and Culture Council members are not eligible to participate.
• Winners will receive gift cards ranging from $50 - $100 in value, a lawn sign recognizing the award and announcements on the Village website and social media.  The names, addresses and photos of the winners will be made public and used for promotional purposes.
•  Judging will take place between Friday, December 16 and Sunday, December 18. Decorations must be on from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on these evenings.
