The Future of Golf Mill Park - See the Possibilities

The proposed redevelopment of Golf Mill Park would create a stronger sense of place, foster a better community, enhance outdoor recreational space and reduce environmental impact.

The project is a proposed partnership between Village of Niles and the Niles Park District. The 10-acre park, located at Church Street and Cumberland Avenue, just south of Golf Mill is being reimagined to:
  • Provide stormwater management to mitigate flooding and reduce pollution carried in stormwater runoff.
  • Retain and improve open land and recreational park space with enhanced amenities, such as bike parking, public art, a picnic grove, shelters, playground and event space.
The Village and Park District hired Hitchcock Design Group to design and redevelop Golf Mill Park and Hey & Associates to study and implement an improved stormwater system. Representatives from both firms will be on hand to discuss plans, answer questions and elicit feedback.
