Block Parties

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and following the Governor's Restore Illinois plans, Block Party permits are not being issued at this time. Please check back to this page for updates. (6/1/2020)

Whether you’ve just moved into town or you’ve lived here for many years, a Block Party is a great way to get to know your neighbors and create a sense of community.

In order to have a block party in the Village of Niles, you must complete the Block Party Application and the Block Party Petition. Please return the completed forms to the Village Manager's Office at least 14 days prior to your event. Please carefully read and adhere to the Block Party Guidelines.

When your application is approved, you’ll receive a letter from the Village of Niles giving permission and some instructions to follow. The letter will also include a list of organizations to contact if you want to boost the fun-factor of your block party and promote community pride.
