[ARCHIVED] Parkway Tree Trimming Program Begins

Parkway Tree Trimming Program Begins

Powell Tree Care has started trimming parkway trees in the Village as shown on the attached map. Trees are pruned to improve tree structure, enhance tree vigor, increase aesthetic appeal, provide adequate clearance and maintain safe conditions in the right-of-way. Dead and weak branches are also removed to prevent the spread of decay and to decrease the chances of storm damage. Branches that detract from the natural beauty of a tree are removed to maintain the crown shape and symmetry typical of the species. Also, to provide safe travel for pedestrians, bicyclists and cars along Village sidewalks and streets, trees are pruned up to remove low branches and improve visibility. Should you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Village Forester at (847) 588-7900.
