Teen Center Staffing Changes

Mark has hired Jamie Kowalczyk to replace Ann on the Teen Center staff. Jamie will be starting this week for limited hours.  Jamie grew up in Mount Prospect and graduated from Prospect High School in 2013. She is a recent grad from the University of Evansville with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Studio Art. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and listening to new music with friends and family. She also enjoys trying out all different types of crafts and DIY projects. She has worked as a camp counselor as well as with afterschool programs in Evansville for the past three years. She is excited to start her next chapter at the Teen Center!

Ann’s last day will be Friday, August 11 and Nick’s last day will be Friday, August 18.

Mark is still looking for another new staff member to replace Nick.  If you know anyone that might be interested, please have them contact Mark ASAP.

New Furniture, Equipment, games/movies

The teen center recently made lots of upgrades including 21 new couches in the TV lounge, a new dome hockey table to replace the foosball, painted the restaurant benches and tables, installed 6 new tables in the computer lab (gaining about 3 feet of space to move around the room). This is the first new furniture that we have been able to purchase. We are replacing lots of donated furniture and equipment, some of which was over 20 years old and showing heavy wear.  See the attachment for before and after pictures.

Also, this week Mark replaced the electronic dart board, replace the electronic scoring unit on the air hockey table 5- 12 month Playstation network subscriptions and bought a bunch of new DVD movies including Anchorman series, Austin Powers series, Wayne’s World series, Joe Dirt, Talladega Nights and Waterboy.

Parents, please review this document with your teen participant.  Thanks!
