Pace is giving riders a preview of the new Pulse Dempster Line! On August 13, 2023, the Pulse Dempster Line begins operating on Sundays, offering riders a preview of what's to come later this fall when daily service begins. This "sneak preview" offers a significant increase in Sunday bus service frequency along Dempster Street while also ensuring a seamless and efficient launch of daily service later this year.
The Pulse Dempster Line runs between the O'Hare Multi-Modal Facility and the Davis CTA/Metra station in Evanston. This service will run in addition to the existing Pace route 250. Niles locations served by the new Pulse Dempster Line include stations at Harlem, Milwaukee, Cumberland, and Western.
The Sunday "sneak preview" serves as an exciting opportunity for both current Pace riders and new riders to explore the benefits of Pulse. It allows them to experience firsthand the convenience of more frequent service, operated by Pace's Pulse-branded purple buses equipped with Wi-Fi and modern amenities, as well as limited-stop service to get riders to their destination more quickly.
