The Niles Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch are proud to announce the 2009 National Night Out Against Crime and Drugs.
This year's National Night Out will be held on August 4, 2009, at St. John Brebeuf Church at 8301 Harlem Avenue, starting at 6 p.m. and ending with a flashlight walk around 9:30 p.m. The National Night Out is an international event in which police and the community come out together in a symbolic gesture to shine the light on crime. Through this joint community and law enforcement event, communities can reduce crime, improve relationships with neighbors and inspire young people to become involved in their community.
At this year's event, join the Niles Police Department, Target, and Dunkin Donuts in the following activities:
Donut-eating contest, jumping pit, face painting, Teen Center activities, crime prevention demonstrations, Police K-9 demonstration, food, refreshments, and much more.
