[ARCHIVED] CMAP Initiates an Update if the GO TO 2040 Comprehensive Regional Plan

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) has initiated an update of the GO TO 2040 comprehensive regional plan, as required by the federal Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act. This draft plan update is available for public comment through August 1, 2014.
As part of the public comment period, CMAP is holding a series of open house meetings throughout the region this summer. These meetings will provide residents and stakeholders with an opportunity to learn about and share feedback on the draft plan update, as well as on the proposed Federal Fiscal Year 2014-19 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). CMAT invites you to attend the upcoming public open house meeting on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Arlington Heights Village Hall, 33 South Arlington Heights Road from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
Attendees are encouraged to drop in whenever convenient for them during the meeting hours. Each open house will feature posters and additional visual materials for review, with CMAP staff on-hand to answer questions. Formal public comments will also be accepted.
If you are unable to join CMAT at their open house, you may also view the draft plan update electronically and submit written comments on-line at www.cmap.illinois.gov/about/2040/update/public-comment.
