Public Services are still working to clean-up the aftermath of a serious blizzard that hit Sunday (2/1) and left Niles with approximately 20 inches of snow. Today's plan is below:
Public Services will continue removing snow from Grace and Clifton, North of Ballard.
They will continue removing large mounds of snow along Milwaukee Avenue.
They will continue removing snow from sidewalks. This is taking longer than anticipated due to an excessive amount of snow on the sidewalks and the massive length of Niles's sidewalk route.
They have a backhoe continuing to open up street parking areas where there is a high volume of multi-family housing.
A crew is out checking for potholes and water leaks that might have settled. These will be filled with cold patch as needed.
All alleys were plowed again and salted yesterday.
