NILES, IL: Snow is expected to begin around 4:00 p.m. (2/25) then continue through the overnight and Thursday morning. A few lighter and more scattered snow showers may continue beyond the midday hour before tapering off completely around 6:00 p.m. Accumulations of 4-5 inches are anticipated.
Niles Public Services is currently preparing the roads, which include highways, snow and bus routes, factory area and parking lots at Village facilities. They will then make a pass through each subdivision before returning to the highways. A crew is scheduled to return to work at 3:00 a.m. tomorrow morning to plow side streets (curb to curb), cul-de-sacs and alleys in addition to clearing snow from Village Facility sidewalks and stairwells.
