Public Service crews were dispatched at 5:30 p.m. yesterday evening to execute the Niles snow plan. Crews have not stopped working since that time. It is still currently snowing and more lake effect snow may be on its way. There are currently forecasts showing a possibility for another two inches of snow until the afternoon rush hours.
All highway routes have been plowed and salted and are down to bare pavement. All subdivisions have been plowed curb to curb and are currently being cleaned up and corners pushed back. Cul-de-sacs and alleys are plowed per the snow plan. The highway salt trucks are now in the subdivisions spreading salt to break up any snow pack on the side streets.
