[ARCHIVED] Heat Alert Issued Monday, July 2 through Saturday, July 7

The Village of Niles has declared a Heat Alert from Monday, July 2 through Saturday, July 7. Temperatures are expected to be in the mid-90s with uncomfortably high humidity. The Fitness Center and Senior Center will be open as a cooling center if relief is needed. The Fitness Center is open 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.

The Senior Center is open 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. If you require a cooling center on Wednesday, July 4 or after hours, please call 847-588-6500. In an emergency call 911.

Please check on your neighbors with limited access to air conditioning and transportation, such as seniors or those who are ill.
